Diederik Legger MSc – Partner
Diederik Legger is a versed and practiced maritime professional. He has over 22 years of experience as a manager and consultant in the international shipping and offshore industry. He excels in Internal Organization, Restructuring and Recovery, Ship Finance, cross border M&A and Business Developments. At Marstrat he assist in rolling out maritime strategies for various national and international organizations.
Trained in Economics at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, he specialized in transport and logistics. His research into the container shipping industry, led him to work for various shipping banks in the Netherlands and abroad.
Later on he worked on the ‘’owner side’’ in shipping companies such as the stock-listed Star Reefers and Orient Shipping Rotterdam. Diederik was one of the founding fathers (and CEO) of Rolldock; the Dutch heavy lift shipping company. At this company he was responsible for the acquisition of 4 vessels and an order of a fleet of 8 state of the art heavy lift vessels in India.
Diederik’s knowledge of business in addition to the maritime industry is invaluable in his position at Marstrat.
