Changing of the guards at Marstrat
The beginning of 2024 marked a significant change at Marstrat. The partnership roles of Martin Bloem and Jenny Coenen ended and have been taken over by Michiel Spitzer and Adriaen Winckers. Spitzer is well-known within Marstrat as he has been cooperating with Marstrat since the establishment of the company. Winckers joined Marstrat in 2022 as Associate Partner.
With this change of the guards Marstrat is strengthening its capabilities and expanding the scope of services within the maritime sector. The compatibility of knowledge of the partners is essential for serving clients in the best way possible.
Both new partners have in-depth knowledge of and a solid background in the maritime industry. Winckers is a Naval Architect, with a proven track record of leadership roles in the maritime and offshore contracting industry. Spitzer has an extensive career in maritime marketing, public relations and public affairs. His experience lies both on the public and private sides of the industry.

With the two new partners onboard Marstrat is ready to keep delivering high quality services to its clients. Bloem and Coenen have been closely involved with building Marstrat alongside the other partners right from the start in 2015. As of January 1st 2024 Martin Bloem joined Damen Shipyards in a fulltime position as Group Director Corporate Affairs. Jenny Coenen was already a fulltime Lector Sustainable Manufacturing at the The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
Leading both of them to step down as Partner with Marstrat. Martin and Jenny proved to be valuable partners that helped to build the Marstrat brand to what it is today. The Marstrat team is thankful for their dedication and devotion and wishes them success in fulfilling their new ambitions.
