Jenny Coenen appointed part-time professor Smart Sustainable Manufacturing

As per 1st of January Jenny Coenen has been appointed part-time professor Smart Sustainable Manufacturing at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. She continues her work at Marstrat on Ship Production Processes (analysis, optimisation, education and training), also on a part-time base.

Jenny Coenen obtained a M.Sc. degree in Marine Technology from Delft University of Technology, where she also obtained her Ph. D. in the field of Ship Production. She has worked as researcher, lecturer, developer and consultant at Royal IHC, Delft University of Technology, Bloem Doze Nienhuis (a maritime consultancy company in Rotterdam), and Shipping & Transport College (STC) Rotterdam.

Her key interests and expertise are the improvement of (collaboration in) the production chain, engineering and business processes; both within companies as between companies. In 2021 she has been appointed professor Smart Sustainable Manufacturing at The Hague University of Applied Sciences which is a nice continuation of her earlier combined academic-business career.
